Friday, September 7, 2018
Pastors and worship leaders and volunteers are invited to attend a Worship Conference at Northwestern College Tuesday, Oct. 2.
The conference begins at noon with lunch and a keynote presentation, “The Theology of Worship,” in the college’s Vogel Community Room. The keynote will be followed by an afternoon of workshop options on topics such as worship leadership, liturgy, vocals, musical arrangements, crafting testimonies, the integration of homiletics, and raising up the next generation of worship leaders.
The conference will conclude with a 5 p.m. worship service in Christ Chapel demonstrating many of the techniques discussed during the workshops.
Before the conference begins, attendees are invited to attend campus worship in Christ Chapel from 11:05 to 11:45, featuring the Orchard Hill Band, a worship band from a Cedar Falls, Iowa, church.
The conference is being hosted by Northwestern’s worship arts department and the division of graduate studies and adult learning. Cost for the conference is $30, which includes lunch and afternoon refreshments. For more information and to register, visit nwciowa.edu/WorshipConference.
