Northwestern's online RN to BSN ranks among top 50 in the nation

Northwestern College’s online RN to BSN degree program has been ranked 31st on a list of the nation’s top 50 programs by valuecolleges.com. Northwestern is the only Iowa college on the list and one of just six faith-based institutions.
Valuecolleges.com based its rankings on the programs’ affordability and return on investment. Northwestern’s Graduate School & Adult Learning division recently reduced the tuition for the online RN to BSN degree program from $410 per credit to $325 per credit. The new rate is lower than the average cost of comparable programs ($519 per credit) and makes Northwestern’s online RN to BSN program the most affordable in Iowa.
Northwestern’s RN to BSN degree program is designed to be convenient for working nurses. Courses are entirely online, and students can complete the program in two years or less, taking just one eight-week class at a time. The curriculum is characterized by a high degree of personal attention from nurse educators who foster students’ ability to deliver holistic healing and serve in healthcare leadership roles.
Valuecolleges.com also features Northwestern College in sixth place on its list of the Top 10 Best Online Colleges in Iowa. “Institutions ahead of us on the list have been providing online courses and degrees longer than we have, so we’re proud to be in such good company. It speaks to Northwestern’s commitment to adult learners,” says Dr. Rebecca Hoey, dean of the graduate school and adult learning programs.
