Northwestern's M.Ed. program ranked among nation's most affordable

Northwestern College’s online Master of Education degree program has been named among the nation’s Top Low-Cost Online Master’s Programs by BestMastersDegrees.com. Northwestern is ranked second in the listing of the five most affordable M.Ed. programs.
The ranking is divided into 10 categories based on the type of master’s degree: business, psychology, nursing, education, health care administration, social work, theology, public administration, information technology and communication. These categories were deemed the 10 most affordable and were chosen based on popularity, accessibility and long-term investment.
Each category lists the five most affordable online degree programs and the respective institutions that offer them. Total cost was calculated using criteria like the number of online programs offered, degrees conferred, employment outlook and salary potential.
Northwestern offers three tracks for Master of Education students: early childhood, master teacher and teacher leadership. Each of the three tracks is offered entirely online and can be completed in two years or less. A 12-credit graduate certificate in teacher leadership is also available.
Northwestern’s M.Ed. program was also ranked third on a list of the nation’s 25 most affordable online master’s of educational leadership and administration degrees by AffordableSchools.net.
