Dr. Mabray is an expert in educational leadership and curriculum development who has taught at universities in Virginia, Oregon and Nebraska. A graduate of South Carolina State University, where she majored in biology, she earned a Master of Education degree in educational leadership from Augusta State University and then became the K-12 science, health, physical education curriculum coordinator for the Richmond County Board of Education in Augusta, Georgia. In 2005 she earned an Educational Specialist degree in educational leadership, also from Augusta State University. She was appointed the county's senior director of curriculum and instruction in 2010 and principal of the George P. Butler Comprehensive High School in 2014. Mabray was awarded a Doctor of Education degree in curriculum studies by Georgia Southern University in 2012.
