Dr. Heather Hayes is an expert in special education, having served as a middle and high school special education teacher for seven years before pursuing both a master's degree and doctorate in the field. While earning her Ph.D. from the University of Northern Colorado, she served as a graduate research assistant, producing research on inclusive education, stakeholder partnerships, placement decisions and best practices.
