Education Studies
Education Studies
If you have a heart for education but aren’t planning to teach in a traditional school or classroom, Northwestern’s education studies major is for you. Maybe you hope to work as a school librarian or lead education programs for a museum, nature center or historical site. As an education studies major, you’ll gain a deep knowledge of education practice and be prepared to think, write, solve problems and coach others in the classroom called “our world.”
Why NWC?
As an education studies major, you’ll learn to teach well and still have room in your schedule to pursue other areas of interest like theatre, music, foreign languages, history, science and more. You’ll also have a variety of study options to choose from, including specialized tracks in diversity, guidance counseling, early childhood education, library studies, technology, and teaching English as a second language.
