The business of honoring God

A business administration major and member of Northwestern’s Business Club, Ryder chose NWC because it is Christ-oriented and because he had the opportunity to play baseball for the Raiders. He loves participating in student activities such as the Western Shootout and Humans Versus Zombies.

Windows of opportunity
Growing up, I always liked business and wanted to work. I started a window-cleaning business when I was 13. I want to get a degree that will help me better understand how the business world works so I can make a career in whatever business field I go into.

Added value
One of the major strengths of the business administration major at Northwestern—and any other major here—is that the professors work to incorporate the word of God into their curriculum. In one of my classes, we discussed the morality of suing others and whether the Bible supported a stance for or against such an action. I thought that was a super cool thing to spend time studying.

Learning from the best
All the business faculty have a lot of experience in their given fields and use that to teach us in the best ways they can. They are friendly and fair.

Field of dreams
I don’t really know what my plans are for after college. The one thing I do know, however, is that I want to honor and glorify God through whatever I do.
