NWC to host workshop on short-term missions

Northwestern College, in conjunction with the Reformed Church in America, will host a short-term missions workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27. The free event will take place in the Fireside Room of the Ramaker Center.

The workshop will be facilitated by Barb Dewald, Northwestern’s associate dean of Christian formation, and Kristin VanKampen, coordinator for volunteer engagement for the RCA. They will provide participants with best practices and tools for evaluating and improving mission trips.

“We’re excited to interact together about ideas, experiences and resources as we consider how to have excellent short-term missions that both support the work of our long-term mission partners and equip those going on the trip,” says Dewald. “We look forward to learning from one another.”
