Date set for annual Red Raider Road Race

The 22nd annual Red Raider Road Race is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, with check-in beginning at 8 a.m. and the race starting at 9 a.m. The road race, which is a part of the Raider Days Homecoming celebration at Northwestern College, consists of a 5K race and a one-mile walk. Participants should check in at the DeWitt Learning Commons, just west of Christ Chapel on Northwestern’s campus.

Register at www.nwciowa.edu/raider-road-race before Oct. 2. Registration is $20 for the 5K and $15 for the walk. Participants can also register the day of the race for $25. All proceeds will benefit the Northwestern cross country and track teams.

All registered participants will receive a T-shirt and post-race snacks and refreshments. Awards are given to the overall female and male 5K winners, as well as the female and male winners in each age category.

The event is sponsored by the Northwestern Alumni Association, Northwestern Bank, De Jong Chiropractic, Joiner Family Dentistry, Van Engelenhoven Insurance and Orange City Area Health System.
