The Rev. Dr. Timothy Brown, the newly appointed president of Western Theological Seminary in
Holland,
Mich., will speak at
Northwestern College’s Christ Chapel on Monday, April 21, at 10:05 a.m. and Tuesday, April 22, at 11:05 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
Brown will speak in chapel services under the auspices of the Ronald Nelson Scholars and Artists in Residence Program.
The Henry Bast Professor of Preaching at Western, Brown will become the seminary’s 11th president on July 1. He formerly served as the senior pastor of Christ Memorial Church in Holland, Mich., and the Hinga-Boersma Dean of the Chapel at Hope College. The author of Witness Among Friends and Let’s Preach Together, Brown frequently contributes to the Church Herald, the Reformed Review, Perspectives, and Preaching Today.
Brown earned Doctor of Ministry and Master of Divinity degrees at Western Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree at Hope College.
Brown frequently speaks at pastors’ conferences, college campuses and church renewal events. He has served on the Reformed Church in America’s Board of Theological Education, the Hope College Board of Trustees and the executive committee of Words of Hope.
