Dr. Anthony Kooiker, professor emeritus of music at Hope College in Holland, Mich., recently donated an additional 1,800 music scores and books to the Kooiker Music Collection in Northwestern's Ramaker Library. He also donated funds for preparation and housing of the collection.
The Kooiker Music Collection, housed on the first floor of Ramaker Library, was established in 1989, when Kooiker gave Northwestern more than 500 recordings and innumerable scores for piano and organ. A native of Hull, Iowa, Kooiker taught for 37 years at Hope College and performed worldwide.
