A professional musician, lesson instructor and ensemble coach, Marian Casey specializes in cello and bass. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Sioux Falls with a bachelor's degree in music composition before earning a master's degree in music performance from the University of Minnesota School of Music. After graduation, Casey taught private lessons in cello, double bass and harp as a freelance instructor. She began teaching at a collegiate level in 2008, with experience as a cello instructor at the University of Sioux Falls, Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, S.D., and Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.
