Tamara Fynaardt is Northwestern’s vice president for enrollment and marketing. She oversees the college’s admissions, financial aid, and marketing and communications offices. She also leads the college’s branding efforts, driven by the desire to ensure students experience what Northwestern promises.

Fynaardt started her career at Northwestern as an adjunct English instructor before serving in the marketing and communications office for 25 years. She coordinated several Northwestern projects that won awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District Six and the Higher Education Marketing Report, one of which was the “Stand Out” branding campaign.

Prior to working at Northwestern, Fynaardt served as a marketing and public relations director at Advocate Health Care, based in Oakbrook, Illinois. She attended Christian schools from kindergarten through college and earned a master’s degree from Northern Illinois University.
