Dr. Schouten has more than 16 years of experience as a kinesiology professor, teaching a wide variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Most recently he served as the administrator of Zion St. John Lutheran School in Paullina, Iowa. He previously taught and served as the head baseball coach at Dordt University. An assistant baseball coach for the Red Raiders, Schouten studied the leadership behaviors of coaches at Christian colleges for his doctoral dissertation. His research passion centers on leadership in the subdisciplines of kinesiology.
