Dr. Ruiz Ledesma has spent the last several years teaching at the University of Pittsburgh while earning his Ph.D. in Hispanic language and literature, as well as a certificate in film studies. He holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Texas at El Paso and a B.A. in Hispanic literature and linguistics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Other teaching roles were held at El Nazareno Institute, the University of Texas at El Paso, and Peruvian University of Applied Sciences. He has also served as an editor, evaluator and researcher.
