Dr. Song joined Northwestern's faculty from Texas Tech University, where she earned both a doctorate and master's degree in human development and family sciences and a bachelor's degree in psychology. While at Texas Tech, she worked in the university's BioSocial Interplay in Development Lab and managed the Child Development and Relationships Lab. She also taught TTU's Lifespan Human Development and Development During Childhood courses and served as a teaching assistant for a course on child and adolescent behavior. She is the author of articles published in the Journal of Numerical Cognition, the Journal of School Psychology, Family Science Review, and Child Development. She has also presented posters at meetings of the Society for Research on Adolescence, the Society for Research on Child Development, and the National Council for Family Relations.
