Professor Heronemus earned  a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She has director-level experience in developing quality compliance procedures and safety processes in the workplace. She has also guided managers and staff to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and provided leadership to multiple departments, including intensive care units and the emergency department. Under her leadership, Sheridan Memorial Hospital and South Lincoln Hospital District in Wyoming received their best state trauma survey results, with high marks in process improvement and community outreach.
