Justin Adcock also serves as the principal for John E. Flynn, A Marzano Academy (Colorado). A longtime teacher of special education, he has given presentations at professional conferences on topics such as literacy assessment, alternative licensing, teacher preparation and equity. He serves as a board member of the Association of Teacher Educators, the organization that honored him the Peggy Whitfield Newcomer's Award in 2017. He earned a doctorate in education from Capella University and Master of Education degrees in special education and educational leadership.
