Jill Van Otterloo has served as the director of the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program at Northwestern since 2022. Prior to her role as program director, Van Otterloo served as the associate director and as a professor of practice for the program.

Van Otterloo earned her B.S. in biology with a minor in psychology from Iowa State University. After earning her MSPAS degree from Des Moines University, she joined Mercy Family Clinic in Forest City, IA where she specialized in family medicine. Upon her move to Northwestern, Van Otterloo began teaching in her role as a professor of practice for the PA program while also practicing family medicine at Sioux Center Health.
