You've got a passion for art and a desire to delve into some creative adventures. We’ve got top-of-the-line facilities and fun classes to help you grow your skills!
This summer, Northwestern College is offering weeklong camps that can help bring out the artist within you. Join us in the Korver Visual Arts Center as Faith Tyrrell leads colorful art projects and creative explorations. There are two class opportunities for ages ranging from 5th- to 12th-grade.
We can’t wait to see what masterpieces you will create this summer!
Amazing Acrylics for Grades 7–12
Instructor: Faith Tyrrell
This four-session camp will teach you about different types of acrylic painting. You’ll learn about color mixing, how to use palette knives, and how to paint light reflections with a disco ball. You’ll also get to experiment with a variety of acrylic pour-painting techniques. The final day will give you an opportunity to show your parents your work and to teach them some of the techniques you learned.
$80 per person. All supplies provided. Paint clothes recommended.

Wild Watercolors for Grades 5–8
Instructor: Faith Tyrrell
This four-session camp covers different techniques of watercolor painting. You’ll learn how to mix colors and the difference between wet and dry brushing. You’ll also explore how to use salt, masking tape and watercolor pencils in your work. The final day will give you an opportunity to show your parents your paintings and to teach them some of the techniques you learned!
$80 per person. All supplies provided. Paint clothes recommended.
