My favorite restaurant in Iowa is Marto Pizza in Sioux City. Back in California, it’s probably Hash House—best breakfast in town!

Favorite book
My favorite book that I read in college would have to be The Road, by Cormac McCarthy. Thanks, Professor Fynaardt! Most of my reading over the past couple of years was for grad school. One of the most intriguing books I encountered in that reading was Julian Barbour’s The End of Time.

Hobbies
I love playing my guitar and watching collegiate and international wrestling. I taught myself how to play the bass guitar when I was 12 years old, and my favorite athlete is wrestler David Taylor, a world and Olympic champion.

Favorite place on Northwestern’s campus
The Bartlett Wrestling Room. I spent more hours in that room than any other room I’ve been in my entire life. And my favorite thing to do is play Spikeball on the campus green.
