NWC theatre launches membership drive

Northwestern College’s theatre season opens with “Princess Amanda and the Dragon,” a sequel to last year’s children’s theatre production of “Tales of the Kingdom.”
Northwestern College’s 2015–16 theatre season is set, and the college’s annual Theatre Patrons membership drive is under way. The organization is seeking membership donations by Sept. 11 to support the college’s theatre program and students.

Membership rates are $65 for an “Actor” membership and $125 for “Actor +1” (two memberships). Patrons can also join at the “Director” ($250) or “Producer” ($500) levels.

All Theatre Patrons are recognized in show programs and receive four “Actor” or eight “Actor + 1” pre-paid tickets for the season’s shows. “Director” patrons receive 16 season tickets, and “Producer” members receive 24 pre-paid tickets. Patrons will be notified prior to each ticketed show so they can reserve tickets online or contact the box office to reserve their preferred seating. Patrons are also invited to a dinner-and-theatre banquet during the season.

This year’s Northwestern College theatre season opens Oct. 2 with children’s show “Princess Amanda and the Dragon,” a sequel to last season’s “Tales of the Kingdom.” Other theatre productions in 2015–16 include Shakespeare classic “Macbeth,” Broadway classic “Godspell” and Pulitzer Prize-winner “Rabbit Hole.”

In addition, the season will include the RUSH student dance concert, one-acts presented by students in directing class, the 21st annual World Premiere Festival, and several student-initiated projects. Details are available at www.nwciowa.edu/nwctheatre.
