Beth Huey is a music theorist and flautist. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music theory from Youngstown State University and Kent State University, respectively, and is completing a doctorate in music theory from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She previously taught ear training and music appreciation courses at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. She currently gives private lessons in Orange City, teaches at Western Iowa Technical Community College, and plays the flute in the Le Mars flute ensemble and the All-American Concert Band in Sioux City.
