Dr. Rebecca Hoey Dean of Graduate School and Adult Learning
As Northwestern’s dean for the Graduate School & Adult Learning, Dr. Hoey oversees the college’s master's degree programs in education, physician assistant studies and athletic training; graduate certificates; degree-completion programs in nursing (RN-BSN) and early childhood education; and continuing education opportunities. A strategic, entrepreneurial academic leader, she is the co-chair and editor of NET: An e-Journal of Faith-Based Distance Learning. Hoey has experience teaching online courses and developing and designing online curriculum. Her work has been published in the Online Journal of Distance Learning Administration, and as a research committee member for the International Association for K-12 Online Learning, she helped write a survey of policy and practices around the world. Northwestern's 2020 recipient of the Faculty Inspirational Service Award, she earned her Doctor of Education degree from the University of South Dakota.
