Northwestern College is seeking a warm and relational advancement officer to join a creative, successful fundraising team. This individual will assist with the philanthropy efforts of Northwestern College by cultivating relationships with college constituents and inviting them to invest in the college’s mission through giving to the operational fund, capital projects and the endowment, as well as through including Northwestern in their planned giving. This person’s cultivation efforts will include personal visits, various forms of communication, assisting with events, and meeting yearly goals and objectives.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with preference given to advanced training and fundraising experience. Experience in communications, sales and marketing, and public relations is a plus. The candidate must be a person with strong organizational and computer skills; outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; and the ability to multi-task. The candidate must be a self-starter with attention to detail and a team player willing to contribute in a collegial environment. Travel is required.
