Northwestern College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the education department to begin August 2017.
We seek to hire a vibrant and experienced educator to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in special education and other courses as needed. Strong candidates will possess special education certification and have three to five years of experience in K-12 classrooms, preferably in special education fields. A doctorate in education is preferred and will be required by the time of tenure review; candidates with master’s degrees and a willingness to complete a doctorate will be considered. Additional responsibilities include advising and recruiting students, supervising student teachers, scholarship, and departmental and committee service. This candidate will provide leadership for a proposed master’s degree in special education anticipated to roll out in the summer of 2017.
