Access Services Coordinator

DeWitt Library at Northwestern College has an opening for an access services coordinator beginning August 2022. This position is responsible for managing the circulation of library materials, scheduling and supervising approximately 25 work-study students, and fulfilling interlibrary loan requests. Other responsibilities include assisting library patrons and maintaining circulation statistics. The position would be for 10 months each year, working full-time hours during those months.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and one to three years of previous work experience is required. Applicants must possess strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants must also possess a strong commitment to service and the ability to adapt to a changing work environment. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and the ability to learn specialized software applications and library systems is required. Previous experience with library systems is preferred.
