Grundy Center, Iowa
Wayland Union High School in Wayland, Michigan, and Grundy Center High School; Northwestern College, bachelor’s degree in history
I grew up in west Michigan and then moved to Iowa my senior year of high school. My dad is a pastor, my mom is an elementary music teacher, and I have three siblings.
A trip I'd like to take
I would love to visit the French countryside. After reading The Return of Martin Guerre in one of my history classes, I have been dying to visit France and see it for myself.
Favorite place to visit
Any Lake Michigan beach. My family used to go to the beach every Sunday afternoon, and it brings back some of my happiest memories whenever I visit one.
I enjoy running, playing the cello, drinking coffee, and crafting when I have free time.
What I like to watch
My favorite movie is either Pride and Prejudice or The Incredibles. My favorite TV show is The Office, but I really relate to the character of Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation.
Favorite place on Northwestern's campus
Stegenga Hall, because I lived there all four years during my time at Northwestern. It’s where I made some of the best friends and grew deeply in community and in relationship with God and others.
