      • Other professionals in your field?
      • The church: how might your project help the church in calling students to leadership in the life of the church?

      • What is being developed beyond personal skill and competencies?
    • An itemized budget
    • Have you explored other funding sources? Include a listing of amounts and other sources of funding you have sought, secured, or exhausted.
    • Any ideas you have on how your project could be assessed
  3. Things to keep in mind regarding funding of proposals:
    • You are not guaranteed funding by submitting a proposal following these guidelines.
    • Grant funds are not a means of replacing faculty or other staff development funds or purposes.
    • There are limited funds.
  4. Submit all proposals by e-mail to racheltg@nwciowa.edu.
  5. The proposal must be submitted by the 1st of the month to be considered before the 15th of the month, or by the 15th of the month to be considered before the 1st of the month.
  6. All projects must submit a report or evaluation for assessment purposes. The Lilly grant office will provide an evaluation form for funded proposals for seminary or graduate school visits and for conferences or retreats. Other projects will be asked for a specific form of assessment on the grant agreement form.
  7. Funding decisions will be made by the grant director or Vocare Resource Committee based on availability of funds, timeliness of request within the larger grant vision, number, size and quality of requests and other relevant factors.
  8. Replies to all proposals will be provided by the grant director. Funded requests will receive a list of grant procedures, a grant award agreement to be signed by the recipient, and an evaluation form (if applicable).
