Stegenga Hall

Built in 1996, Stegenga Hall houses 204 women. It is named for Dr. Preston Stegenga, Northwestern’s third president.

Steggy traditions:
Mission Impossible: A dorm competition where each wing competes against the others
Steggy Keggy: Each wing decorates their hall based on a theme, and we celebrate with kegs of root beer.
Secret Turkey Week: Like secret Santa, but for Thanksgiving
All-hall Christmas study break: We decorate the hall Christmas tree and eat Christmas cookies. Santa even makes an appearance!
Famous (or infamous) Steggy pranks: Several years ago, students from another hall let a flock of chickens loose in Steggy.
