Bolks Apartments

The three buildings that make up Bolks Apartments were built between 2001 and 2003. They are named for the Rev. Seine Bolks, who was the first pastor of Orange City’s First Reformed Church and the first chairman of Northwestern’s Board of Trustees.

Number of buildings/apartments: 3 buildings with 10-12 apartments each

Number of students per apartment: 4 in building A; 6 in buildings B & C

Dimensions/description: Much bigger than your first post-college apartment will be!

Closets/storage space: 1 wall of closets in each bedroom, coat closet in hallway, storage closet in bathroom

Furniture/amenities provided: Beds; dressers; 3 desks with chairs in A, 5 desks with chairs in B & C; kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave and table with 4 chairs; living room with couch, side chair, coffee table and lamp

You’ll want to bring your own … kitchen stuff for cooking in your own kitchen

Community spaces: Each apartment has a living room/kitchenette; each building has a computer lounge; and E Bo has a community lounge.

Laundry/cooking facilities: Each building has community laundry facilities.

Distance to the caf’: Unfortunately, the caf’ is across campus.

Bolks traditions: BBQs to open and close the school year, bowling nights, bake-offs

Famous (or infamous) Bolks pranks: Nothing yet. It’s only a matter of time …
