Mission service
Northwestern’s career concentration in mission service will help you understand what the Bible and history teach about the church in mission. You’ll study other religions and cultures and learn how to critically and sensitively analyze other worldviews in order to more effectively communicate the gospel. Since the mission field has many needs, you should pair your career concentration with a major—and possibly a minor—related to the kind of work you want to do. Examples of compatible programs include religion, teaching English as a second language, business, communications, biology/health professions, and sociology.
