Music ministry major
A special feature of Northwestern’s music program, the music ministry major is designed to help prepare students for service in church music roles. This innovative program approaches church music from the traditional, contemporary and world music perspectives, with the aim of preparing musicians for a global church. Students in the program have many opportunities to participate in and lead worship teams for Northwestern’s chapel services and area churches under the leadership of Dr. Heather Josselyn-Cranson, director of music ministries.
