Rachel Te Grootenhuis assists the director of Northwestern’s $2.5 million grant from the Lilly Endowment. The Lilly grant was used to create Vocare, a program with initiatives aimed at helping students find their place in God’s world. Te Grootenhuis oversees both the Vocare budget and the broader campus ministry budget at NWC. She also writes publications associated with the grant and its initiatives.
Te Grootenhuis attended Dordt College, Sioux Center, Iowa, and previously served as Northwestern’s campus ministry assistant in the missions office. She has worked as a church and legal secretary. She also has experience as a free-lance writer, including writing news articles for The Banner, the magazine of the Christian Reformed Church.
