Enlaces en Cristo
Students who have a heart for serving cross-culturally connect to the Hispanic community in Orange City and Sioux County through Amistad Cristiana, a Spanish-speaking congregation in nearby Sioux Center, Iowa. Enlaces en Cristo (“Bound together in Christ”) ministry students teach Sunday school, teach English to Spanish-speaking adults, and tutor Hispanic children in English and other subject areas. They also offer Spanish chapel once a month on Northwestern’s campus.
Participation in Enlaces en Cristo is a great opportunity for students studying Spanish, English, education, sociology, social work and other majors to extend their learning beyond the classroom.
