Physical education major
Northwestern’s education programs are praised for getting students in the classroom early and frequently. The physical education program is no different: Peer teaching and early field experiences are an important part of the physical education curriculum. Physical education students have pursued careers in teaching, coaching, recreation and fitness. Three endorsement options are available to majors who want to work in school settings:
- Vertical (K-12) teaching endorsement
- Elementary (K-6) teaching endorsement
- Secondary (7-12) teaching endorsement
