The Federal Pell Grant is a program that makes funds available to eligible students who demonstrate financial need. The amount of the award may vary up to a maximum of $4,731. Application is made by filing the FAFSA.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant is available to a limited number of undergraduate students who demonstrate significant financial need and who also qualify for a Federal Pell Grant. Application is made by filing the FAFSA.

Iowa Tuition Grant
The Iowa Tuition Grant provides funds to Iowa residents who attend a private college in the state. The money helps make up the difference between tuition at the private college and the average tuition at the three state universities. The amount a student receives, not to exceed $4,000, depends on the student’s financial need and enrollment. Application is made by filing the FAFSA by June 30.

Family Grants
If more than one family member is attending Northwestern at the same time, the college will reduce by 15 percent the tuition of the second and each additional family member. Full-time enrollment is required.

Northwestern Grants
Students who demonstrate financial need and show evidence of academic promise can receive a Northwestern Grant. These grants vary in size and require filing the FAFSA.
