Computer science career concentration

Computing is rapidly becoming an indispensable tool in nearly every field. Being technologically proficient will not only help you do your job better, it will make you more valuable—indispensable, even—to your company, organization or employer.

A computer science career concentration can be paired with any major. It’s a great option if you like working with computers but love, for example, art, business, communications or psychology. The courses you take will familiarize you with computer software techniques and working with hardware, lay the groundwork for the kind of thinking computing requires, and introduce you to some of the more advanced topics in computer science.

Armed with a basic knowledge of computer science, you’ll be better equipped to use computing in your career or discipline.
