Resources for alumni

Northwestern’s Career Development Center serves alumni too, and there’s no charge for most of our continuing services.

Become an alumni mentor
You’ve got the experience and expertise to help a Northwestern student prepare for—and succeed in—life after college. As an alumni mentor, you make yourself available to answer questions about your major and your career. Or you can help a recent graduate new to your area get acquainted with your community. Choose how you want to be contacted and how often. Sign up by visiting the NWCareerConnections Web site and clicking on “Alumni contacts/mentors.”

Meet with a career adviser
If you’re considering a career change, a career assessment can help you identify jobs that would be a good match for your skills and interests. Our career adviser can discuss the different inventories offered free of charge to alumni, as well as provide feedback on your resumé and cover letter to help you meet your employment objectives.

Search for a job
Ready to make a job or career change? Northwestern alumni have free access to job postings through NWCareerConnections. Employers often contact the Career Development Center asking for the names of people with at least five years of work experience. Let us help you get connected.
