DeWitt Physical Fitness Center

Additional practice space is available in the DeWitt Physical Fitness Center, home to Northwestern’s popular intramural sports program. Raider athletes utilize the one-tenth-mile, four-lane indoor track for training, while the baseball and softball teams practice in the facility during the winter months. In addition to the track, the DeWitt Center includes four handball/racquetball courts; three basketball and four volleyball courts; two indoor tennis courts; and two badminton/pickleball courts.

Korver Field

Football and soccer games take place on Korver Field, which in 2004 was given a new FieldTurf artificial playing surface. Used by 18 NFL teams and a number of NCAA Division I schools, FieldTurf has been shown to significantly decrease injuries. Two full-sized practice football fields and two soccer fields are also available to Raider athletes.

Korver Field is housed in De Valois Stadium, which seats 2,200. Along with the field, the De Valois Stadium complex includes a football/track locker room and an eight-lane polyurethane track completed in 2003. The track is steeple-chase ready; field event venues added adjacent to the track include a 100-by-100-foot polyurethane high jump area. Landsmeer Golf Club

Raider golfers practice and play at Landsmeer Golf Club, an 18-hole public course in Orange City. Opened in 1995, Landsmeer includes a driving range and putting green. Rolling hills provide golfers with an opportunity to test their skill, while prairie grasses and wildflowers enhance the aesthetic dimension of the course.
