Pre-graphic design
Students who want to apply art to advertising, business, communications, design, journalism, marketing, public relations or other careers can add a pre-graphic design emphasis to their art major. Not only will studying graphic design at Northwestern give you the skills for your first job, but our liberal arts curriculum will instill the wisdom—about art and other disciplines—you’ll need for the career-climbing opportunities that are sure to follow. Students with the pre-graphic design emphasis are also well prepared for graduate programs in design.
