Northwestern College is conveniently located on Highway 10 and K64. Entering Orange City from any direction will take you past the campus. Visitor parking is easy to find and located just west of the Conoco station on the south side of Highway 10—across the street from Zwemer Hall.

Directions to Orange City

From Interstate 29:
From the north, take the Beresford, South Dakota, exit (Exit 47) and turn east on S.D. Highway 46. Follow the highway approximately 17 miles as it turns south and becomes Iowa Highway 10 entering Iowa. In Hawarden, look for the sign for Highway 10 East and Orange City, and turn left (east) on Highway 10. Orange City is approximately 20 miles east of Hawarden. Highway 10 intersects Northwestern’s campus. Visitor parking is to the right on the south side of Highway 10 just prior to the first stop light at the intersection of Highway 10 and Albany Avenue/county road K64.

From the south, take the Iowa Highway 75/20 bypass (Exit 144A) on the south side of Sioux City and follow U.S. Highway 75 north to Le Mars. As you leave Le Mars, turn right (northeast) onto Iowa Highway 60. Follow Highway 60 approximately 10 miles to Carnes and turn left (north) onto county road K64 for five miles to Orange City. Northwestern College is at the intersection of K64/Albany Avenue and Highway 10. Turn left (west) at the stoplight at that intersection. Visitor parking is on the left, or south, side of Highway 10 just one-half block west of the Highway 10/K64 intersection.

From Interstate 80:
Take Interstate 29 north and follow the above directions.

From Interstate 90:
From the east, take the first Worthington, Minnesota, exit (Exit 45) and head south on Minnesota Highway 60. At the Iowa border, this road turns into Iowa Highway 60. Take Highway 60 approximately 50 miles south to Alton and turn west on Iowa Highway 10 for three miles to Orange City. Northwestern College is at the intersection of Highway 10 and Albany Avenue/county road K64. Visitor parking is on the left, or south, side of Highway 10 just one-half block west of the Highway 10/Albany Avenue intersection.

Flying to Orange City

If you’re a prospective student, we’d be happy to pick you up from either the Sioux Falls, South Dakota, or Sioux City, Iowa, airports, provided you give us two working days advance notice. Just let us know your airline and flight number, as well as the date and time of your arrival and/or departure. This service is also available to current students for a nominal fee. Contact the student activities office at least a week in advance of your flight’s arrival or departure.
